Ensure the timely and orderly transition of Parliamentary operations during the renewal of the Parliamentary precinct.
What success looks like
The Government of Canada is restoring and modernizing the Parliamentary Precinct for current and future generations of Canadians, and to provide Parliament with the accommodations it needs to operate effectively and safely in a modern, connected and sustainable world.
Government's narrative on progress
Following a 7-year rehabilitation to restore and modernize West Block, parliamentary operations were moved from Centre Block in time for the 2019 winter parliamentary sitting. Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) worked collaboratively with Parliament and a Deputy Minister-level committee to ensure a seamless transition of parliamentary operations to West Block and the government’s Conference Centre.
